Hello, my name is Jean. I'm the founder of Memoir, a printed photo-album product I design and build solo from the Paris area, France. I write the iOS and Android apps, the website, the AI engine that lays out albums, and the serverless backend and print pipeline behind them.

Before Memoir, I spent five years at Amazon Prime Video as a Software Development Engineer, first in London and then in Atlanta. I led a team of six engineers across three countries to launch the ad-free Prime Video subscription in nine countries, owned one of Amazon's largest DynamoDB tables for the Prime Video library, and built internal tooling behind thousands of Prime Video Channels subscriptions worldwide.

I started my journey at York University in Toronto, where I studied Computer Science and worked as a Teaching Assistant for multiple semesters. During that time, I joined Amazon as an intern on the Prime Video team, which turned into a full-time role in London.

Outside of Memoir, I enjoy building side projects — from frontend-heavy applications to automation tools running on AWS. I've also explored blockchain and decentralized applications, particularly on networks like Polkadot.

Outside of tech, I spend most of my time working out, playing guitar, bass and the drums. I recently started painting. I also enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures whenever I get the chance.
